She smiles like everyone else I knew,
A smile so blissful, so true...
Her eyes twinkle with joy every time she spotted someone she
likes,
For everyone, she seemed like an angel emerging from the
darkness of the nights...
Her looks were mesmerizing, she couldn't have looked more
happier; she was perfection at its best,
She seemed to have it all, her curiosity never let her
rest...
Little did they hear her soul screaming out in pain,
To such agony, they were deaf... Such shame...
Her soul had red eyes, puffy face and messy hair,
Her top soaking wet from the tears that escaped from their
lair...
Realized that I was staring at someone I didn't recognize,
The creased forehead, the red nose, those dark circles
beneath her eyes...
Her sorrows were hard to capture,
Yet, she remained silent; hid her pleas for help; concealed
her torture...
The person she loves cannot see it either,
So soft, so sensitive, yet, others perceived her to be a
fighter...
Through the day she smiled, she knew reputation means
all,
But every ounce of strength she has, crashes, by nightfall...
A lonely soul wishing for someone to understand, hoping for
life to be alright,
Biting her lip to avoid whimpering through the night...
I blink, she blinks,
I sink in my sorrows, she sinks...
I think I know how this girl feels,
She wanted help... this depressed teen..
So, I move my hand forward to touch hers, but then came an
obstruction,
I touched this hindrance, this glassy construction...
She touched my hand from the other side, moving it along with
mine,
Thin, pink scars on her hand; blood oozing from within,
shines...
Can be highly noticed, but people chose to ignore,
So she resorts to her best friend... The mirror...
Only I can understand this screaming soul, time to
time,
It's because this soul lives in my body, this soul belongs to
me... This dreadful creature is mine...
